Start the Day Feeling Better, Anybody Interested?

jog02_27396Do you ever have those days when you just can’t get the motor started and no matter how much coffee you take in just never feel right? I know I do and according to this article Researchers from the University of Georgia found that moderate, 112 heartbeats per minute, exercise first thing in the morning is the answer. Ok so I don’t run 5 or 6 or even 8 minute miles, but just getting out in the morning, 2-4 times per week, makes me feel better mentally than any other fancy coffee, sports or energy drink. Some days I just go in my back patio and do body weight routines like jumping jacks, lunges, squat thrusts, pushups, planks all the basics, and in 20 minutes the heart rate is up and I then stretch cool down and feel wide awake and ready to go. Running days I now use an app I downloaded, was free but I splurged for $2.99, and it has me running/walking, 120-160 beats/min, to a 5k goal. I just ran the Turkey Day 5k, so now am planning on one in January/Feb. Anyway, 20 minutes a day, simple, easy, no equipment needed, now just need to do it! How bout it, whats a good way to beat those doldrums and get the body/mind in motion?
